I registered this domain back in 2022, back when you could get free domains from a site called Freenom. The company got sued and could no longer give out domains at all, but we could keep our domains if we had them. In 2024, everyone had their domains taken away at the same time. If you logged into your account, your domain would be marked as "pending". If you contacted support they added 10 years to your domain. I was supposed to own the domain "durbie.tk" until 2034. Recently the site has been updated for the first time in probably years. The UI is completely redone and it looks like you can get domains again, however they all are paid. I logged into my account because I needed to change some DNS records. I saw that my domain was "expiring soon". I'm supposed to have another 8 years. The domain now expires on July 31st. While "auto renew" is on, I'm not sure if it would work because I never attached a payment method. I got my domain for free. I can renew it right now, but I would have to pay money. According to some people on Reddit, they "renewed" theirs a few days ago. They paid the fee but their domains were not changed. I have little faith that I will own durbie.tk for much longer.
